A delicious balance of salty and sweet.
3 oz. PRIVATE SELECTION Goat Cheese Crumbles, softened
2 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 tsp. finely chopped fresh basil, plus more for garnish
Salt and pepper, for seasoning
16 medjool dates, pitted
8 slices PRIVATE SELECTION Old World Prosciutto, halved lengthwise
PRIVATE SELECTION California Red Pepper Jelly, for serving
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, mix goat cheese, cream cheese and basil until thoroughly combined. Season mixture with salt and pepper, to taste.
Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of the cheese mixture into each of the pitted dates. Close the dates slightly, and then roll each one up in a long piece of prosciutto.
Bake prosciutto-wrapped dates on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 10 minutes, until cheese mixture is bubbly and prosciutto begins to crisp. Garnish with chopped, fresh basil and serve immediately with red pepper jelly for dipping. Refrigerate any leftovers.
